Abstract
The Urgut Free Economic Zone (FEZ), established under Decree No. 4931 by President Sh. M. Mirziyoyev on January 12, 2017, is a pivotal component in Uzbekistan's strategy to bolster regional economic development. Covering 1,262 hectares and valued at 286.6 million soums, the Urgut FEZ plays a significant role in the economic revitalization of the Samarkand region. This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the Urgut FEZ's impact on regional development, utilizing available data to assess its contributions to industrial output, export activities, and economic growth.
