Abstract

In the context of rapidly changing global economic dynamics, marketing strategies have become pivotal tools for ensuring business sustainability, competitiveness, and consumer alignment. In Uzbekistan, economic liberalization and digital transformation have intensified the need for marketing strategies that integrate both traditional and modern approaches. Despite increasing interest in this field, there remains a lack of comprehensive research focused on contextualizing these strategies within Uzbekistan’s unique socio-economic environment. While international theories of marketing strategy are well-developed, limited attention has been paid to their adaptation, implementation, and evolution within emerging markets like Uzbekistan, particularly in response to post-pandemic consumer behavior, digital penetration, and media consumption. This study aims to examine the development of marketing strategy concepts in Uzbekistan, assess their theoretical foundations, and analyze their practical applications using national data and international marketing frameworks. The findings indicate a growing integration of digital tools, such as social media and personalized content, alongside traditional media like television and radio, which remain dominant. With over 22 million internet users and 16 million social media users in 2024, marketing in Uzbekistan reflects a dual structure shaped by both legacy practices and contemporary innovations. The study uniquely contextualizes marketing strategy development within Uzbekistan’s socio-cultural and economic framework, providing empirical insight into consumer behavior and platform-specific trends. These insights underscore the need for adaptive, evidence-based marketing strategies tailored to local conditions. They further suggest policy and educational implications for strengthening marketing science in transitional economies.
