Abstract

In the rapidly evolving global market, companies are compelled to distinguish themselves not only through product quality but also through strategic branding and marketing approaches. While numerous studies have explored branding or targeted marketing in isolation, their synergistic application in achieving competitive advantage—especially in emerging markets like Uzbekistan—remains underexplored. There is limited empirical evidence on how integrated branding and targeted marketing impact customer perception, brand loyalty, and market success in developing economies. This study aims to investigate how the alignment of branding and targeted marketing can create sustainable competitive advantages by examining consumer behavior toward local clothing brands. Based on responses from 783 participants, the findings indicate that brand appeal, emotional engagement, and segmentation strategies significantly influence customer loyalty, awareness, and purchasing decisions. Tashkent, accounting for 40% of marketing activity, and the youth segment (18–35 years) were identified as strategic focal points. The study introduces a contextualized model that assesses key factors—such as brand recognition, trust, pricing, design, and online presence—affecting purchasing behavior, tailored specifically to the Uzbek apparel market. The research underscores the importance of consistent brand identity and data-driven marketing segmentation to achieve long-term business success. It recommends investments in digital marketing and customer analytics for small and medium enterprises to enhance market competitiveness.
