Abstract

This article explores the use of multisensory teaching approaches designed to assist dyslexic learners in acquiring English language skills. Dyslexia, a common learning difficulty affecting reading and writing, presents unique challenges in language learning, requiring instructional strategies that engage multiple senses simultaneously—such as visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and tactile modalities. The article discusses how multisensory methods, including techniques like the Orton-Gillingham approach and multisensory spelling programs, improve phonemic awareness, decoding skills, and vocabulary retention among dyslexic English learners. It also highlights practical classroom applications, the importance of individualized instruction, and the role of technology in enhancing multisensory experiences. By catering to diverse learning styles, multisensory teaching fosters greater engagement, confidence, and success for dyslexic students in English language acquisition.
