Interregional inequality remains a critical challenge to achieving sustainable economic growth and social cohesion. Uneven distribution of resources, disparities in infrastructure, and the concentration of industrial activities in specific territories often deepen socio-economic gaps between regions. This article explores the role of industrial zones in mitigating such inequalities and promoting balanced regional development. Drawing on theoretical foundations and international practices, the study highlights how industrial zones contribute to decentralizing industrial activities, attracting investment, creating employment, and enhancing infrastructure in less-developed areas. The findings suggest that while industrial zones have significant potential to reduce interregional disparities, their success largely depends on effective governance, integration with local economies, and supportive institutional frameworks. The article concludes that well-managed industrial zones can serve as powerful instruments for achieving more inclusive and balanced development.
