Abstract

This study examines and analyzes the historical and economic dimensions of relations between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea, highlighting their significance in the consolidation of bilateral cooperation. The historical roots of these relations trace back to periods preceding Uzbekistan’s independence, notably including the migration of ethnic Koreans to Central Asia during the Soviet era, which has played an important role in shaping contemporary interactions. At the same time, the trade and economic relations between the two countries have gained substantial relevance in the modern period. The study also identifies a number of challenges that hinder the further development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation. In this context, several recommendations are proposed aimed at improving trade and logistics infrastructure and enhancing the overall efficiency of economic collaboration.
